BRUCE GRAHAM
Festival Adjudicator
We are delighted to announce Bruce Graham as the Adjudicator of our 31st Gilbert & Sullivan Festival. Bruce is a familiar face at the Festival and has performed with the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company for many years. A highly experienced performer with a long-standing career in Gilbert and Sullivan operas, Bruce brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the works of Gilbert and Sullivan, as well as a deep understanding of the stage. He is delighted to add the role of Festival Adjudicator to his “armoury of wonders.”
In 2025 there will be six companies competing for the prestigious Ian G Smith Festival Champions trophy: Godalming Operatic Society, New London Opera Group, Peak Opera, Brussels Light Opera Company, Bus Pass Opera and The SavoyNet Performing Group. Who will raise the trophy?
Don’t miss the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, 16 August at 5.00 pm. We will also be streaming live over Facebook.
Bruce’s first professional theatre work was with the D’Oyly Carte Opera Company with whom he toured extensively, playing many of the Gilbert and Sullivan character roles.
Bruce has appeared in eight West End musicals including Me and My Girl, Follies, The Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard and as Old Deuteronomy in Cats. He has also appeared in a range of pantomimes at venues across London (including The Players’ Theatre at Charing Cross), and at Windsor and Norwich. In 1999, Bruce returned to his first love, Gilbert and Sullivan, and since then has become something of a G&S specialist, having appeared in thousands of performances of Gilbert and Sullivan throughout the world, from Hull and Halifax to New Zealand and Nova Scotia.
