The Old Hall Hotel

The historic Old Hall Hotel, located just across from the Pavilion Gardens and the Opera House, is reputed to be the oldest hotel in England. Part of the current building was constructed by Bess of Hardwick’s fourth husband, the Earl of Shrewsbury, for Mary,  Queen of Scots when she came to take the waters in Buxton in the 16th century. Renowned for its originality, the Old Hall has over thirty unique bedrooms, each equipped with an en-suite bathroom, TV and radio, writing desk, hairdryer, telephone, and hospitality tray.

Car Parking: There is no private parking, but you can use the on-street spaces immediately in front of, opposite, and alongside the hotel. The reception team can provide a 24-hour ticket for £6.
