The Festival Youth Production changed its name this year!

The Festival Youth Theatre is a key highlight of the Festival, offering young people the chance to take to the stage. This year’s production of HMS Pinafore will be directed by Rachel Harland, with David Goulden as musical director, and performed at the Pavilion Arts Centre on Saturday, 9 August at 2.30pm.

Rehearsals begin in Buxton on Saturday, 2 August and will be daily through to the production.

Auditions for principal roles will take place in Buxton on Sunday, 9 March (1–4 pm) or via DVD/YouTube, but no audition is needed to join the chorus. DVD/Youtube must be received by Monday 3rd March. There is a nominal participation fee of £50 (bursaries are available – please email sarah@gsfestivals..org).
