BUXTON OPERA HOUSE
The 29th International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival will be staged in the beautiful Buxton Opera House from Saturday, 29 July – Saturday, 12 August.
The annual Gilbert & Sullivan Festival is the world’s biggest celebration of the works of Gilbert & Sullivan – the world’s most performed theatrical partnership. Sullivan’s genius for melody and Gilbert’s magic with words produced a combination of music and text that has rarely been equalled.
The Festival offers your group great afternoon or evening entertainment, and you can enjoy excellent discounts with the best seats in the house. We have some fantastic matinee and evening productions of the most-loved G&S operas performed by the professional National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company. Choose from all-time favourites, The Mikado, The Pirates of Penzance and The Yeomen of the Guard.
And in addition, there are many other shows to see, from Bus Pass Opera’s HMS Pinafore (all the performers are over 60) to SavoyNet Performing Group’s production of Ruddigore with cast members from around the world.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information about which show would be the best for your group.
