The Utopia Pavilion

Make sure you visit our specially built “Utopia Pavilion”  in the hall immediately on the left Box Office, Festival Information Desk, bar, ice cream van, hot and cold food and coffee and snacks.  The perfect place to meet friends or to just sit and watch the world go by.  Open from 9.30am until the early hours.

Free Festival Lunchtime Entertainment

Every day from 1-1.30pm you can enjoy free musical entertainment in the Utopia Pavilion.  The programme changes every day and details will be posted by the Information Desk.

Singing From The Gallery – every Saturday at 7.15 pm in The Royal Hall

Every Saturday evening before the show in the Royal Hall we have “Singing from the Gallery”.  This is a great way to get in the mood and have a good sing or just sit and soak up the very special Festival atmosphere.  Please be in your seats by 7.10pm to join in.

The Festival Club (Entry £3)

Your evening in the Royal Hall doesn’t end when the curtain comes down.  Make sure you join in the fun next door in the Utopia Pavilion where the Festival Club is open from 10pm until late!  Bar and hot suppers are available along with excellent cabaret entertainment.

Fancy A Trip Out?

North Yorkshire is beautiful and there are some fantastic attractions nearby including Harewood House, Ripon, Knaresborough and much much more.  The black TransDev buses go from Ripon to Leeds (via Harrogate) and you can see their timetable here.

For more information about where to go and interesting places to see nearby, visit the Tourist Information Centre in Harrogate (across the road from the Royal Hall) or visit their website.

Pre-Theatre Talks

Our “Friends of the Festival” Trustee and G&S expert and author, Bernard Lockett gives a short talk prior to each of the shows in the Royal Hall.  Come along and find out more about the show you are about to see and enjoy a glass of wine from the bar.

The talks before matinees on Saturdays and Sundays start at 1.50 pm, and in the evenings at 6.50 pm.
