Patience – 2007

Directed by the inimitable Alan Spencer, with John Owen Edwards conducting and Simon Butteriss starring as Bunthorne, our 2007 production of Patience is certainly a firm favourite and it is clear why so many have watched this fabulous and hilarious production!

2nd Place

The Mikado – 2012

Another star-studded classic makes its way into this week’s leaderboard: The Mikado 2012. Starring and directed by the spectacular Simon Butteriss, The National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company and National Festival Orchestra, conducted by Timothy Henty are in their element.

The Pirates of Penzance – 2019

Richard Gauntlett’s Pirates of Penzance has proved enduringly popular since the launch of www.gsopera.tv and it is little wonder why! He is supported by a fantastic cast and the National Festival Orchestra – look no further for a hilarious evenings entertainment.

Stephen Turnbull’s Magic of THE MIKADO

Join Stephen Turnbull for a guided tour of the town of Titipu. The Secretary of the Sir Arthur Sullivan Society will introduce us to one of the most popular Gilbert and Sullivan Operas in the canon, talking through the story, the characters and the music. It includes clips from the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company’s most memorable productions. Made exclusively for www.gsopera.tv.

The Gondoliers – 2012

Starring James Cleverton and directed by Jeff Clarke, this latest edition to our leader board is one of the cheeriest shows ever produced at the Festival and just the ticket for anyone missing the very merriest of opera, theatre and the Festival.
